Through the rise and falling apart, we discover who we are.

Michigan took on Minnesota at Michigan Stadium yesterday in a battle
for the Little Brown Jug. I was lucky enough to get to be at the game.
I've been to four games at Michigan Stadium now, and it never gets old.
I was excited to try using my new telephoto lens while I was there, and
I have to say, it definitely passed the test! I got some great pics
down on the field.

My mom is a Michigan alum, so she got
tickets for herself, my dad, my fiance and me. My aunt and uncle also
have season tickets, so we all got together before the game at Revelli
Hall, the university music building. It has become tradition for the
percussion section to come out and put on a little show, and then the
band marches to the stadium.

The backsides of the scoreboards that can be seen from outside the stadium are impressive. Here's the view as we came through the gates. Also, a more close-up view is currently my header.

When the band finished their routine, it was time for the team to take the field, coming in under the now-famous "Go Blue" banner.

U of M quarterback Chad Henne during pregame warm-ups. It's pics like these that made buying the telephoto lens worthwhile!

Chad Henne, #7, hands off to Mike Hart, # 20 during the first quarter of the game. The drive led to a field goal, the first score of the game.

This covers the first half.  I was pretty pleased with how well I could see down on the field with the new lens.  What do you think?  The second half will be coming soon!
