Through the rise and falling apart, we discover who we are.

Well, it's a day late, but Happy 4th of July!  I hope everyone had a good Fourth.  Mine was pretty good.  The weekend wasn't very eventful, but very relaxing, so it was all good.  six24 and another friend from work came over yesterday for a little cookout, and then we went into town for the fireworks.  Of course, my camera had to come along   Here are a few pics that I snagged last night.

These first few are the results of playing with the shutter speed and moving the camera around while taking pictures of some of the city lights. 

 

 

 

Here's one of a kid who was playing with a glow-ring right in front of us.  I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it's kinda cool.

And here are the fireworks.  Not quite what I expected, but considering I was leaving the shutter open for 15 seconds on some of these, and I wasn't using a tripod, I can't complain with how they turned out
