June 21 Update...
I started a new book over the weekend called The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I had heard that if you like The Da Vinci Code that you would probably like this, so I'm giving it a shot. It's the author's first book, so I'm a little nervous about how it will be, but she did win an award when she was in graduate school for novel-in-progress.
It's about a girl who is trying to find out about her father's past, and that past deals somehow with Vlad the Impaler (the real Dracula). I'm not far enough into it yet to really know what the connection is going to be. It intrigued me because I like novels dealing, at least somehow, with true historical events, and I've been interested for awhile to learn more about Vlad.
So far, it's pretty good, but like I said, I'm not very far into it yet. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this, or if they're reading it? If so, what are your thoughts so far?
While we're at it, is anyone else reading anything really good? I'm always on the lookout for new things to read.
I guess I should start a list of books that have been suggested to me...
