It's been over a year since I really did anything on here.  I've signed in now and then just to see what people are saying and see what's going on.  I've felt like writing, just to write, a couple times, but nothing came of it... until today.  I was looking back at some of my old entries, and wow, what a pile of self-pity I was last year haha.  Let me just say thank you to all of you for giving me so much support as I was going through the hardest time of my life to date, and for continually reading my thoughts. 

A lot has happened in the last year, and I won't bore you with the details, but for those who are interested, I have been officically divorced since April.  By the time that date came around, the event actually sparked celebration!  I'm glad to have it past me.  I rarely give her a thought anymore, except when she comes up in conversation or I see her at work, and even then, it no longer phases me. 

I have an amazing group of friends, and that group only continues to grow as I continue to meet new people and experience new things.  I've been dating an incredible woman for 2 months, and I couldn't be happier.  It's strange to look back at where my life was not two years ago compared to now.  I thought my life was falling apart, and I guess in a sense, it was.  But ya know what?  Life is great!

It's been another crazy day at work, but now that it's finally coming to a close, I have a little time to sit down at my desk and unwind... and finally get to some more pics.

This set comes from a small park called Presque Isle on the northern side of Marquette, MI.  It's a small peninsula, probably no more than 5 miles around.  Not only does the park provide some awesome shots of Lake Superior and rocky shorelines, but there's an ore dock just outside the park gate.  Large freighters (think Edmund Fitzgerald) come in regularly to offload coal and take on large loads of iron ore pellets.

Presque Isle has become one of my favorite places to go while I'm home.  I think these pics do a decent job of showing why.

Wow, so it's been awhile since I posted anything.  I was home in Michigan for the whole week of the 4th.  I was insane (at least according to everyone else).  I drove each way in only one day.  That's 16 hours up and, somehow, 15 hours back.  The ipod got a good workout

So, I planned to post some pictures from the trip all last week and never got to it.  And now, here it is, the end of another day, and I still haven't had a chance to do it.  I will get more up here, but for now, here's one from the fireworks.

Speaking of pictures... I sold my first prints to a couple of people locally   I'm still working on the logistics of shipping to other locations (which seems to be taking me forever), but these first couple sales were really encouraging.  I don't know how successful this whole venture will be, but I've had really postive feedback so far from my friends here, as well as some of you.  Thanks  

Many of you may have noticed that I usually go outside to take photos.  Most of what I shoot has something to do with nature or the outdoors.  A couple nights this week, I just stayed in and did a little shooting.  A different method, slightly different style for me, but I like how they turned out.

Oh, and before you ask, no, I don't play guitar... I've tried, but this is the most action the guitar has seen in quite some time.
